- Culture: historical and ethnographic trails, ancient Alpine villages, museums, and traditions in the Defereggental valley, and the town of Lienz waiting to be explored just 40km away.
- Cycling and e-bike routes: from cycle paths on the valley floor to forest tracks, enjoy scenic loops amidst green Alpine meadows and picturesque villages. An example? The trail that runs alongside the Schwarzach river or the challenging climb up to the stunning Staller Sattel pass.
- Climbing: here you’ll find peaks that are perfect for mountaineering, as well as crags such as the Hundskofel granite crag: 29 routes, each 25 metres long, and just a 15-minute walk to reach it. In winter, the valley offers stunning ice falls and mixed-terrain routes.
- Rafting, kayaking, canoeing: days of pure adrenaline on the rushing waters of the Isel river, guided by expert instructors, just a 40-minute drive away.
- Motorcycle tours across Alpine passes with hairpin bends and majestic mountain scenery – plus facilities for bikers at the hotel.
